Kidi and the Elgon.
This vividly illustrated children’s book is based on the story of an African legend. Kidi is a Follow warrior whose mysterious ability to deflect spears and arrows surprises everyone around him especially the Elgon who are sworn enemies of the Follow. The Elgon decide to use the charms of a lovely beauty to learn Kidi’s secret. They present Chep Choomba to him as a wife. She pretends to love him but later betrays him by revealing his secret to her tribe.
